“Ayesha’s language is the language of a truly contemporary Indian artist.”
It is a movement away from the tradition of completely pure fine art drawing or pure sculpture.
For me it’s really a discovery of an artist with a very strong personal visual language,
the voice of contemporary India, into that more conservative space- the white cube of the gallery.

Quirky, spontaneous and deeply emotional, these words roughly sum up Ayesha’s art story for me.
With Ayesha there aren’t any boundaries, what her mind can conceive her art will translate, her language excites me thoroughly.
Elements which are scattered around in our everyday chores have in this show been elevated to a new height.
Her approach is unique and thought provoking.
I feel inspired by the exquisitely engaging artworks of Ayesha Seth Sen.
I have thoroughly enjoyed myself working with Ayesha,
the exciting exchange of ideas and the deeply fulfilling result,
in the creation of her solo show with gallery Ragini … madness & glory 2019

After a long hiatus Ayesha brings a solo to Delhi with her new oeuvre.
Working in near isolation, Ayesha’s life in a cottage in rural Goa appears to be reclusive, belied by the prolific, intense, highly colored and lively production of intricate, often 3D works.
These multilayered creations embrace a number of visual factors including a comment on the religious kitsch which is ubiquitous in the visual matrix of our times.
Gods and Goddesses cavort within a palimpsest of colors and objects superimposed upon each other to form intriguing multi dimension creations.

Ayesha Seth Sen creates scintillating collage works with references to her own life.
In a process she has perfected throughout her artistic career,
Ayesha Seth Sen almost obsessively cuts, layers, and arranges materials.
